Meeting

It takes a while to make sense of somewhere new. We hope the answers to the following frequently asked questions will help you feel welcome and begin to connect.

What time is a Sunday service, and where is it held?

We meet at 11am in the Upper Room, on the first floor.

A welcomer will greet you on your arrival in the reception area and show you where to go.

What is a Sunday service like?

A service normally runs for just over an hour. There will be praise and prayer and preaching, carefully woven together.

We preach about Jesus. This means we preach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about him. You can catch up on our sermon series elsewhere on this site.

On the first and third Sunday of the month we share together in Holy Communion, in remembrance of Jesus’ saving death and in the hope of the resurrection life still to come.

We like being together and enjoy one another’s company over refreshments following every service, and often for a cooked lunch.

How can I get further connected?

The Welcome Table is set up with your questions in mind, with information about the church’s life readily to hand.

Engage Groups – These meet midweek in various locations on the second and fourth weeks of the month, with the aim of engaging with Jesus, with one another, and with the needs of our city.

First Wednesday – This monthly gathering is a time to bring our common thanks and priorities and concerns to God.  We meet over refreshments at 7:00pm leading into one hour of prayer from 7:30pm.

What about my children?

Jesus loves children, so we also love and value them as a full part of our family.

We begin all our services with everyone together for opening praise and prayer. Those who are 12 and under then follow their own program in age appropriate groups, learning about Jesus in age appropriate ways. We also schedule in all age services where we all worship together.

On the third Sunday of the month, the children rejoin us later in the service to share in Holy Communion.

Our concern for the wellbeing of both children and leaders ensures that we take safeguarding seriously.
